Oh what a great weekend Rich and I had. No kids! We went down thru Connecticutt and stopped in the little town of Norfolk to see where he used to live and to do some caching. There is a cemetary there that is the resting place of a famous man who was born into slavery and went on to be quite a spectacular person.
We also did a little caching there in Norfolk!
Here I am getting wet feet! We spent the night at the Day's Inn at Old Saybrook where Katherine Hepburn used to live. Not at the Day's Inn of course! We ate at a local fish place which was very good but crowded and noisy.
The next day we headed out toward Mystic and stopped to see the ocean and say some beautiful views!
I think I am going to make a slide show tonight to show everyone the pictures. If someone can give me some hints on how to get my photos where I want them on here instead of clustered at the top and then having to try to drag them into the proper position that would be great. I am getting very frustrated with this whole deal with the photos. Some of them won't drag where I want them to go... Seems they should go where the cursor is instead of to the top.
Glad you had a good time. I use photobucket and put my photos in using their HTML code, that way the pictures go exactly where you want them. I gave up the blogger way, like you say they always put them at the top.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a wonderful weekend. I'm looking forward to the pictures. I hope you can figure it out. I'm no help as I only do the drag and drop method. Have a great Monday!
ReplyDelete'On Ya'-ma
I don't drag my photos, I use "cut" and then paste them where I want. I have a few "oops" moments doing that, though.
ReplyDeletePictures? I'm still trying to get music on mine!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend! I'll look forward to pics. (I'm like Ma--still do drag and drop.)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I wish I could give you some hints about the pics but I haven't mastered al this stuff yet but.....my aunt (my mom's sister) lived in Old Saybrook, Ct. They lived in Deep River first which is very close and then moved to OS. I spent the last two weeks of August every year there when I was a kid into early adulthood. They had a huge boat. We would go out into Long Island Sound and stay at marinas. Dang, what memories. LOL...I still have vivid dreams of the huge old house they lived in. I can't wait to see the pictures. What is caching? HUGS
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a terrific weekend getaway. Looking forward to seeing your slideshow.
ReplyDeleteMy pics won't cooperate either so I won't be much help, sorry.
I am so happy to come and read that things are going so well with you and Rich :) I hope things continue to get better and better. My pictures werent cooperating so I went to stretch minima and a two column instead of three column and have had no troubles at all getting my photobucket pictures on mine. I hope you can get it the way you want to. Hugs, Kelly
ReplyDeleteSo glad you two had such a nice time.
ReplyDeletei love your underwater scene picture! Thats cool.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you guys had a nice time, thats what I need I think weekend with just hubby. I'll be watching to see your pictures when you put them up.
Well i dont usually put pictures on my blog, i usually make a slide show at slide.com and then just paste the code, its easier for me.
Rich? Rich?? I think I missed something along the line of our transition to blogger. You gotta fill me in! And you are back to work after your surgery? You know, it does take a while to bounce back-a few months at least.
ReplyDeleteMy kids and I turned New England insideout. I know exactly where your were and the roads you traveled. Strange, after all these yrs, isn't it. I do love NY. The weather just didn't like me. hugzzz....
sounds like fun!
