Rainy Day Saturday

What a dreary day, rain all day and some claps of thunder here and there. I worked from 6:30 AM until 3:00 PM. Very boring day. The colors on the trees are so pretty however, even in the rain. Somehow the rain seems to enhance the color.
My sister just celebrated her one year anniversary! I'm so happy for her and Bobby. It is funny, after I had Sarah, she had Abby, my niece. So now, she got married, and I followed suit.

  1. The SMILES in the pictures tell it all...It looks like you are happy. The colors of fall do help to cheer a dreary day.

  5. Cute picture of you with the pumpkins. I think overcast days bring out the colors more in the trees too.

  7. THE SMALLER PIE PUMPKINS HAVE A FI9NER FLAVOR WHEN COOKED.

IF YOU HAVE NEVER COOKED A PUMPKIN, I CAN GIVE SOME EXPERT ADVICE.
DONT BOTHER WITH TRYING TO PEEL THE SKIN OFF. TOO MUCH UN-NECESSARY EFFORT.

PREPARE A LARGE CONTAINER OF BOILING WATER.
AN OLD STYLE LARGE PRESSURE COOKER IS IDEAL.
    WITHOUT THE LID OF COURSE.

DONT FOOL WITH JUST A SMALL AMOUNT. BREAK THE PUMPKING OPEN BY DROPPING THEM ON A HARD FLOOR.PUT THE PIECES IN THE BOILING WATER.
NO NEED TO REMOVE THE SEEDS OR PULP. BOIL UNTIL THE 'MEAT' WILL SCRAPE OUR EASILY FROM THE HULL.

THERE YOU HAVE IT. IN A LARGE BOWL MIX THE SPICES AND SUGAR AND GO FROM THERE WITH PIES.
